Ignite a Spark!

In March our Sparks receive a recipe for Chandrilan Squigs. Ours will still change the color of your drink, but tone down the ick-factor by not using live worms. The result is something sweet but squiggly (if you’ll pardon the pun), with optional earthy overtones if desired.

The traditional fizzy, celebratory cocktail is clear in color until a Chandrilan eel was dropped into the drink, causing the beverage to change to yellow. The eel is considered optional, though a good many Chandrilans at elegant soirees certainly choose to partake. There is some debate amongst those who have not tried it whether the drink’s delightfully ‘disgusting’ comes from the ethical quandry of the eel’s fate, its texture when eaten as part of the experience, or the flavor it adds to the beverage.
